With over 20.000 species, orchids are the plant family with the largest variety worldwide. Orchids grow in almost every region of our earth and almost every climate. Many species are found in areas where winters are similarly cold or even colder than in Middle Europe. And as far as beauty is concerned those hardy orchids are in no way inferior to their tropical relatives.
